About
I am Wayne Sinclair, a Singer / Songwriter living in Connecticut and Florida. I honed my music skills in Connecticut where my early roots were sewn in the Country music genre. I went on to explore and play Rock, Southern Rock, Light Rock, and New Country Rock. I played in a variety of New England based bands from the 1970s through the mid 1980s.
In 1983, I took a 25 year side road to work in Law Enforcement. Throughout it all, I remained active in songwriting and performing while doing some commercial jingle work. Once I retired from Law Enforcement, I began regularly performing once again, allowing me to finally play publicly many of the songs I had written over the years. I also found an extension to my old musical roots in the “Trop Rock” or “Tropical Americana” genre.
In addition to performing solo I was part of a duo known throughout the southeast as “Lei’d Back”. We performed a mix of original and cover songs, and for certain venues - all original music.
I released a new CD in 2019 called South of the Snow. The title song - South of the Snow - was nominated for Song of the Year by the TRMA for 2020.
I am a member of the Trop Rock Music Association (TRMA), Tropical Americana Music Association (TAMA), ASCAP, International Singer Songwriter Association (ISSA), and a variety of other songwriter associations.
I am currently booking for 2021 dates. If you are holding a special event and are in search of some “tropical” music with a country-rock twist - I hope you will consider contacting me.
